The Indianapolis Colts have nothing to play for in Week 18 against the Houston Texans.
The Colts have lost six in a row, and interim head coach Jeff Saturday has flipped between Nick Foles and Matt Ryan at the quarterback position.
However, Saturday is changing it up as he tries to finish the season with a victory.
The Colts have decided to start Sam Ehlinger and have Ryan back him up after Foles left the game in Week 17 with a painful injury (h/t Zak Keefer of The Athletic).
Sam Ehlinger will start Sunday vs. Houston. Matt Ryan will back him up.

After Foles was brought down by New York Giants rookie Kayvon Thibodeaux, the play went viral for Thibodeaux celebrating and the Colts offensive line standing around and not taking any action for their quarterback.

Saturday added that he will “have a discussion” about the OL’s lack of involvement as Thibodeaux celebrated while Foles was writhing in pain.
Nonetheless, it will be Ehlinger in Week 18, and the former Texas Longhorn started against the Washington Commanders on October 30 and the New England Patriots on November 6.
In three appearances this season — including taking over for Foles against the Giants — Ehlinger has gone 41-of-66 for 364 yards, one score, and one interception.
The Colts are also without star running back Jonathan Taylor, so Ehlinger will have a difficult time, although it will be encouraging to play against a two-win Texans team.
The Colts are widely expected to select a quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft and have even been a rumored destination for Derek Carr, but Saturday wants to at least try to win the final game of the season.
