Quarterback Justin Fields is getting no love from Colin Cowherd.
The Chicago Bears starting quarterback had Cowherd giving four reasons for the team to ditch their man.
During his show, he starts by saying how Fields’ first two seasons in Chicago were “bad and bad.”

While this wasn’t one of his four reasons, it laid the groundwork for his reasoning to trade the young quarterback.
With him already having two seasons of low passing numbers, Cowherd feels “one more season of average to bad and you’ll get nothing for him.”
This statement is accurate, as Fields’ only trade value now is how he can put up Lamar Jackson type rushing numbers.
While he lacks pocket presence, he shines as a running quarterback.
However, Cowherd’s second reason to ditch Fields is how Chicago has a defensive head coach who didn’t draft him.
With the legacy of the Bears being that of defensive dominance, Cowherd uses this as a reason to trade the young quarterback.
His third reason is how the Bears have the number one pick in 2023.
He feels they won’t have this opportunity again, so they need to use their pick to replace Fields.
With the 2023 NFL Draft being full of elite quarterbacks, his point is noteworthy.
However, his fourth point is how drafting Will Anderson, a defensive player, won’t help the Bears.
He mentions the team’s lack of winning with Khalil Mack and Roquan Smith on defense, and how Anderson can’t top them.
But the mentioning of Mack is inaccurate, as Mack wasn’t on the roster in 2022.
Smith also got traded before the 2022 trade deadline, something else that waters down his fourth point.
