The NFL games each Sunday are usually the highest-watched show on television each week.
So networks like CBS, FOX, and ESPN try to put their top broadcasting crews on the top games each week.
One broadcaster who has been in the news lately is Tony Romo of CBS.
Romo has been lauded in past years for his ability to predict plays, and he was seen as the top announcer in the sport.
But, it seems like CBS has been unhappy with Romo recently as a recent report leaked about them having to have an “intervention,” with Romo.
Colin Cowherd has a theory as to why.
He believes that Romo is too invested in golf, and that has led to his slippage in the booth.
Romo has been a great golfer for many years.
He loves the game and has tried to even make it on the PGA tour.
We have seen Romo in many different Pro-Am events, and he might be more focused on golf each week than calling the NFL game.
After he retired, Romo signed a 10-year $180 million deal with CBS.
With still plenty of years left on that deal, CBS is hoping Romo buys in.
As the number one color commentator next to Jim Nantz, Romo needs to find a way to make this work.
Romo is expected to be back in the CBS booth next season, and all they can hope is that he is more prepared.
