The Green Bay Packers remain in a difficult spot with franchise legend Aaron Rodgers.
The team is 9-3 so far and fighting for the top spot in the NFC playoff standings.
For most teams, that would mean there is no drama.
But Rodgers was unhappy with the Packers before the season and the saga will continue next offseason, unless he leads the team to a Super Bowl victory and both sides make up.
Let’s say the Packers fall short of that ultimate goal.
That would mean the Jordan Love conversation is back in focus and Rodgers may finally force his way out.
If that happens, Colin Cowherd sees one team as the best fit for the quarterback.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are suddenly in need of a quarterback in 2022 after reports stating Ben Roethlisberger is likely done following this season.
Could Pittsburgh lure Rodgers to the Steel City?
Steelers Can Make A Big Splash
Cowherd also mentions Russell Wilson as a possibility, but Rodgers still looks like the main star who will be on the move this upcoming offseason.
Barring the Packers trading away Love, the 2020 first-round pick remains the supposed future of the franchise.
Both the Packers and Rodgers can move on to avoid any further drama.
As for the Steelers, this would be a dream scenario.
The team has failed to draft or develop an heir apparent to Roethlisberger, as Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins don’t exactly look like future stars.
My least favorite Steelers QB idea? The band-aid. Jimmy G. Marcus Mariota. I want BIG. Aaron Rodgers or Russell Wilson. Or a rookie. Like Kenny Pickett. Not the Jimmy G and this defense and hey maybe we win 9 games next year!

Perhaps adding a star veteran was the plan all along.
There is still a lot of time left in the 2021 season so it’s entirely possible Wilson and Rodgers end up deciding they want to stay with the only teams they have ever known.
But there is a reason for these rumors to exist and Steelers fans can now start dreaming about life after Roethlisberger.
