The Los Angeles Clippers are slowly climbing up the Western Conference standings and attempting to set themselves up for a strong postseason run.
They know that time may be running out for the Kawhi Leonard–Paul George experiment and are trying to make the most of it.
That means that some big trades might be coming in the weeks and months ahead.

But who would the Clippers make moves for?
According to NBA writer Kevin O’Connor, The Clippers are interested in both Kyle Lowry of the Miami Heat and Fred VanVleet of the Toronto Raptors.
O’Connor’s report notes that the Clips are looking for an upgrade over Reggie Jackson at point guard and that they also want another backup big man.
Both Lowry and VanVleet would certainly be able to provide solid numbers for the Clippers.
Lowry is averaging 12.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists during 2022-23.
VanVleet is putting up 19.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.3 assists and will be a free agent in the summer.
The latest rumors suggest that VanVleet is weighing his options and considering a departure from the Raptors.
The Clippers are wanting a strong point guard who can make plays and run the ball with experience and efficiency.
They are currently the fifth team in the West but it doesn’t feel like they have what it takes to make it far in the playoffs.
If that doesn’t happen, you could see the entire roster being shaken up.
Everyone not named Kawhi might be sent packing if the Clippers don’t finally deliver this season and have serious success in the playoffs.
We don’t know if the Clippers will make moves for either of these players before the trade deadline or wait until the summer and acquire one of them as they attempt a rebuild.
