The MLB lockout is over, and spring training is finally underway after a 99-day wait.
There are still several stars that are unsigned at the moment, but these next few days should give us some clarity on where they might go for the 2022 season and beyond.
But Clayton Kershaw already has a place to play in 2022, as he re-signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers on a one-year, $17 million contract.
And Kershaw is certainly excited to be back in Dodger blue, making a video announcing his return to Los Angeles and expressing excitement to see the fans again and get going in 2022.

He’s Back!
It’s hard to imagine Kershaw in another uniform.
He’s a Dodger through and through, and for all the talk of him potentially signing with the Texas Rangers, Kershaw remains in Dodger blue.
Though he has struggled with injuries in recent years, Kershaw still is an effective pitcher, and the Dodgers rotation got a major boost with his return.
With Trevor Bauer likely not coming back, it was important for the Dodgers to keep their guy around to help lead them to another title.
Kershaw is still capable of being one of the best pitchers in all of baseball when he’s healthy, and it would have been a shame to see him in any other uniform but that of the Dodgers.
It’s good to see him back where he belongs.
He has been a fan favorite ever since he came up, and the Dodgers will also benefit from having his veteran leadership present in their clubhouse.
It remains to be seen if Bauer will return, but for now, the Dodgers have a solid top three in their rotation consisting of Kershaw, Walker Buehler, and Julio Urias.
