The Los Angeles Dodgers are a team that looks ready to strike in 2022.
They signed Freddie Freeman and added him to a lineup that already features Mookie Betts, Cody Bellinger, Max Muncy, and Justin and Trea Turner.
Their pitching staff is solid as well.
The rotation features Walker Buehler, Julio Urias, and Clayton Kershaw.
Kershaw is obviously still effective when he’s on and is the veteran on the pitching staff, having helped guys like Urias and Buehler grow into effective pitchers in their own right.
One Dodgers fan posted a meme that sums up the pitching staff of the team perfectly.
Beautiful, ain’t it https://t.co/kaKKNA7O3B pic.twitter.com/rIurUl0YRM

Poetry In Motion
This is exactly how any fan would sum up the look of the Dodgers’ pitching staff.
Kershaw was once the ace, sort of like a mentor figure to Urias and Buehler, guiding them on their way to become successful.
Now, with Kershaw aging, Urias and Buehler have taken over ace duties and are now the steady hands that guide the pitching staff in modern times.
The meme is simply depicting the changing of the guard.
Times have changed, and while Kershaw is still elite when he’s on, he has struggled with his health in recent years, and now Buehler and Urias are the ones carrying the torch.
There was some doubt over whether Kershaw would return to the Dodgers in 2022, but it would have felt wrong to see him in another uniform besides that of the Dodgers.
This team drafted and developed him.
He was once the young upstart who later became the ace.
Now, he has guided a couple young upstarts on their way to become aces of the pitching staff.
It’s quite beautiful when you think about it.
