The NFL Draft is a time when many different scouts have different opinions on players.
You might see one player ranked inside someone’s top 10 and another scout has that same player outside the first round.
With that being said, Chris Simms has always been bold with his pre-draft rankings.
Sometimes he looks like a genius and sometimes pretty bad, but he always sticks to what he is seeing on tape.
One player that seems like a sure-fire top-10 pick is Alabama edge rusher, Will Anderson.
But Simms does not see that at all.
According to uStadium App via NBC Sports, Simms said,
“I am almost willing to bet big there is NO WAY he goes higher than the 4 guys (Edges) we just talked about (T Wilson, L Ness, N Smith, W McDonald IV).”
Chris Simms has Will Anderson as his 5th EDGE in this Draft 😳😳

While Simms seems very confident that Anderson will be picked behind these other edge rushers, many think that is false.
It seems very likely that Anderson will not only be picked inside the top 10 but he might be the first defensive player off the board.
Anderson was dominant while at Alabama, recording 10.0 sacks and 17.0 tackles for a loss last season.
But he was even more impressive during his sophomore year.
In 2021, he has 17.5 sacks and 31.0 tackles for loss.
Simms was also adamant that Anderson does nothing “elite.”
Many other scouts and NFL teams do not appear to see it that way.
It would be a major surprise if Anderson lasted outside the first ten picks when the draft begins on April 27th.
