The Boston Red Sox rotation is coming together.
With the return of staff ace Chris Sale, the rest of the Red Sox pitching staff can take a little weight off their shoulders.
Sale is an innings eater and the Sox rotation finally appears to be getting healthy at the right time.
Sale had missed the early part of the 2022 season thanks to a broken rib he suffered in spring training.
But last night, he went five innings without allowing a run as he held the Tampa Bay Rays to three hits and struck out five batters.
The Red Sox posted his pitching line in a tweet late last night.

Sale Returns
Though the Red Sox did not end up winning the game, they finally can have a little symmetry in their rotation.
Without Sale, ace duties were left up to Nathan Eovaldi, Nick Pivetta, and Michael Wacha.
But with Sale finally back, the Red Sox can boast a solid top four when Eovaldi returns from his injury.
The Red Sox likely will still need to go out and search for a starting pitcher at the trade deadline, but they’re fortunate to finally have Sale back and healthy.
And Sale showed no rust at all in his return from the injured list.
When he’s healthy and when he’s on, he can be one of the best pitchers in all of baseball.
That’s what the Red Sox brought him over to be.
When he’s right, he’s the ace of this pitching staff.
We’ll see if he can build off of his success in his 2022 season debut and if he can carry the Red Sox back to October.
