The Phoenix Suns have gotten off to a great start for the 2022-23 season, racking up a 6-1 record and racing to the top of the Western Conference.
This team is looking a lot like it did last season and the season before.
In other words, they’re very competitive and hard to beat.

Of course, Chris Paul is a part of that success.
Through thick and thin, Paul is a centerpiece of the team and one of its most important players.
He’s also a leader and part of many plays, even if he isn’t the one sinking the shot.
Paul is known for his deft assist skills and they have been on full display lately – but they hit a speed bump on Tuesday night.
Paul had 27 assists with zero turnovers in two games before Tuesday night, when a referee cited Paul for a carrying violation.
He wasn’t happy about it.
After the game, Paul let his opinions be known:
“It was a terrible call. I’m saying, the ref said, if he could dribble like that, he’d be in the league.”
Paul seems sour about the officiating from Tuesday night but he will need to pack that up, move forward, and keep his team’s winning record strong.
Slowing Down The Suns
Paul might be upset about Tuesday night’s call but he should actually be happy right now.
His team is thriving at the start of the season.
But even with a 6-1 record, no one is celebrating too much just yet.
That’s because the team has had wonderful track records before and still ended up losing when it mattered most: in the postseason.
The Suns’ goal this season is to win plenty of regular season games but remain strong and capable deep into the playoffs.
