The Phoenix Suns were defeated by the Atlanta Hawks, 116-107, on Thursday night.
It was a tough loss for the Suns, but even though they weren’t able to get a victory they were still very optimistic.
That’s because they just received one of the biggest basketball stars in the world: Kevin Durant.
Durant was traded to the Suns early Thursday morning and the future of the team has never seemed brighter.

Following the loss to the Hawks, Suns star Chris Paul talked about Durant and the impact he will have in Phoenix.
He joked that if you added Durant “to the Washington Generals” that “they gonna be nice” and he also touched upon just how impressive Durant is.
Paul knows that his team is about to reach the next level with Durant on board.
The inclusion of the All-Star and former MVP couldn’t come at a more perfect time.
Right now, the Suns are the sixth team in the West, far from the top spot they covet so much.
Because of injuries, tough competition, and sloppy play throughout the season, the team is looking worse than it did last year.
They have been more consistent lately but the addition of Durant is going to rocket them in the right direction even more.
A big three consisting of Paul, Durant, and Devin Booker is already generating a lot of hype and there is good reason for that: this team could be unstoppable at times.
The first half of the season was rocky for the Suns but the inclusion of Durant could make the second half much better and way more impressive.
