It won’t take long before Ohio State’s Chris Olave hears his name called during the 2022 NFL Draft.
He’s one of the top prospects in a deep wide receiver class, and several teams are in need of a talented wideout.
Therefore, as CBS Sports Radio’s Zach Gelb shared, it’s no surprise that several teams are linked to him,
Chris Olave tells me he’s been talking to the Commanders, Eagles, Saints, Chargers and Packers the most.
When I asked about the Chiefs he said, “I haven’t really talked to the Chiefs much but I know they need a wide receiver.” @CBSSportsRadio

Gelb tweeted that Olave talked the most with the Washington Commanders, Philadelphia Eagles, New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Chargers, and Green Bay Packers.
Olave also mentioned the Kansas City Chiefs but hasn’t had a conversation with the two-time Super Bowl champions.
Wide Receivers Are In Demand
Of all the teams he mentioned, the Chargers are the least likely to need a wide receiver because they already have Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Jalen Guyton.
In that case, are the Chargers willing to part ways with any of their wideouts to draft Olave?
Apart from the Chargers, every other team would benefit from drafting a wide receiver.
The Commanders need someone that can take away the defensive focus on Terry McLaurin.
Likewise, they might lose McLaurin if they don’t finalize a contract extension soon.
Meanwhile, the Eagles had nothing but disappointment from Jalen Reagor and J.J. Arcega-Whiteside.
They also need a wideout that will line up with DeVonta Smith.
The Packers need a replacement for Davante Adams, who signed with the Las Vegas Raiders.
The same story goes for the Chiefs, who traded Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins.
Finally, the Saints need another target for Jameis Winston other than Michael Thomas.
However, other teams might be targeting Olave as well.
The New York Jets will need a wide receiver, especially if the potential trade for Deebo Samuel doesn’t push through.
The Atlanta Falcons and Tennessee Titans are other teams seeking a wideout.
