Sometimes, all a player needs is a change of scenery.
The Kansas City Chiefs were able to find a diamond in the rough at the wide receiver position.
They took a chance on a former first-round receiver who previously played for the New York Giants, who turned out to be a huge contributor for them, especially in the Super Bowl.
"I don't know what the Giants was doing with KT, but he's a dog. Brett Veach and Andy Reid, they know how to pick and choose who to go get for this team"

The Chiefs saw something in Kadarius Toney when he played for the Giants.
Although he was just drafted in 2021, Toney played in 12 games for the Giants, two of which were in 2022 before his trade to the Chiefs.
Toney then played in seven games for the Chiefs.
Although his stats don’t necessarily pop off the page, Toney’s value on this team cannot be overstated.
He is a quick, shifty player, who constantly has big-play potential.
During the regular season, Toney had 14 catches for 171 yards and two touchdowns.
He also rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown during the season.
Last night, he made his impact known as well, scoring a key touchdown for the Chiefs.
Again, Toney’s stat line wasn’t monstrous, like his teammate Travis Kelce often has.
He had just one catch for five yards, but that ended up resulting in a touchdown.
He also had a monumental punt return to set up a Chiefs score.
Last night, Patrick Mahomes spread the ball around, with seven different payers catching a pass, including rookie Skyy Moore, who added in a touchdown of his own.
Great quarterbacks like Mahomes can make the players around them better.
This is great news for Toney, who has found a new home in Kansas City.
