The Kansas City Chiefs may not be playing the same level of football that the NFL has become accustomed to from them, but they remain one of the few legitimate Super Bowl contenders in the 2024 season.
The Chiefs are at the top of the AFC standings with an 11-1 record and have a chance to add another win when they host the Los Angeles Chargers on “Sunday Night Football” in Week 14.
Kansas City is in prime position to hold home-field advantage during the playoffs, though teams like the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers will be trying to usurp them.
However, with a healthy Patrick Mahomes and a solid defense, it’s hard to imagine any team knocking off the two-time defending champions.
Ahead of the matchup with the Chargers, the Chiefs announced a series of roster moves.
“We have signed practice squad WR Nikko Remigio to an active roster contract. We have activated practice squad LB Swayze Bozeman and TE Baylor Cupp via Standard Elevation. We have placed WR Mecole Hardman on Reserve/Injured,” the Chiefs wrote on X.

Hardman suffered a knee injury during practice and it appears serious enough to land him on injured reserve, essentially ending his regular season.
The veteran has played mostly as a return man on special teams, though he has been in packages on offense due to his downfield speed.
The Chiefs have enough on both sides of the field to weather his loss and still make some noise in the playoffs.
