The Las Vegas Raiders are ready to start a new chapter in their history.
After years of shortcomings and with plenty of doubters, they chose to move on from Derek Carr and pursue a new quarterback.
And with Tom Brady calling it a career, there’s no denying that the best potential option for them would be Aaron Rodgers, who may not want to come back to the Green Bay Packers next season.
Raiders fans have reached out to Rodgers, urging him to join the team, and so has former teammate Davante Adams.
So, with all the rumors and rumblings flooding left and right, Rich Eisen asked NFL legend Charles Woodson about Rodgers potentially joining the team:
“I think it would be great, actually,” Woodson said. “In terms of the type of energy that it would bring to Raider Nation — bring to the city of Las Vegas, I think it would be outstanding. I think having that connection again — you know — with him in Davante [Adams] (…) this game, a lot of it revolves around that position, the quarterback. If you can get that right, then a lot of things can fall into place because that is right.”

Notably, Woodson sure knows what he’s talking about, as he spent plenty of time with Rodgers during his days with the Packers, and he’s also a Raiders legend.
There’s no one who can deny Rodgers’ talent and impact, and he might as well be one of the top 10 greatest players to ever lace them up.
He would most definitely raise the bar for a Raiders team that’s been in and out of playoff contention every year and bring a sense of much-needed consistency to the organization.
Then again, the Raiders will most likely have to give up plenty of assets to pull that deal off, and it’s not like the QB position was the only area they needed to address in the offseason.
But still, every time you have the chance to get Aaron Rodgers, you pull the trigger.
