Tony Romo spent 14 years in the NFL as the quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys.
Romo was well-liked as a member of the Cowboys and was well-known as a brilliant football mind.
Soon after he retired, Romo found his way into the broadcasting booth, where he was hailed for his prowess and ability to call out plays before they happened on the field.
However, it looks like the tides have turned for Romo as of late, despite his early success in the booth.
CBS had attempted an “intervention” with broadcaster Tony Romo in advance of the 2022 season, but things “did not get better” per @AndrewMarchand

Yesterday, there was reporting surrounding Romo, that he had not been meeting the expectations that CBS had set forward.
In 2020, Romo signed a $180 million contract with CBS, a decision that the network appears to regret, at least, at this current moment in time.
During the 2022 NFL season, Romo faced lots of scrutiny from the media, and it appears that CBS is expressing similar sentiments.
This is the first time, at least in recent memory, that a network has conducted an “intervention” for one of its broadcasters.
Typically, broadcasters aren’t signed to ten-year contracts, but because of Romo’s playing experience and previous success, this might have seemed like a steal at the time for CBS.
Only time will tell what will happen with Romo, as this is still a developing story, with many details yet to be revealed.
Although much is unknown about this situation, we do know that the network is unhappy with Romo.
Will they attempt to move on from him if his performance doesn’t get any better?
