Carmelo Anthony may have failed to win an NBA championship during his stint in the league, but he did earn the respect of his peers.
Anthony primarily played for two franchises in his career: the Denver Nuggets and the New York Knicks.
During his seven-year stint with the Knicks, Melo averaged 24.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.
He had some of his greatest scoring games while wearing the iconic Knicks jersey.
Speaking of his connection to New York, Anthony was spotted linking up with Breanna Stewart during a playoff game between the New York Liberty and Washington Mystics via Ballislife.com on Twitter.

He has been utilizing this time by watching sports games.
As for his interaction with Stewie, Melo congratulated her for leading the Liberty to a win over the Mystics.
The Liberty wrapped up the series by winning 2-0 and advancing to the semifinals.
Stewart’s squad will face either the Sun or the Lynx in the next round of the playoffs.

As for the Liberty, it could be a great opportunity for them to bring home their first WNBA title in franchise history.
They have advanced to the postseason 18 times, but have never won the title once.
