Carlos Rodon remains the top starting pitcher on the free agent market.
The veteran left-hander followed up a dominant 2021 season with a 2.88 ERA and 14 wins in 2022 with the San Francisco Giants.
Several MLB teams are in on the Rodon sweepstakes and appear to be prepared to make him a long-term offer.
Rodon is seeking a contract in the neighborhood of seven years.
The New York Yankees appear to be the favorites for the veteran left-hander, but the Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers are also said to be in the mix for the ace.
Rodon opted out of the second year of his contract with the Giants.
In @JimBowdenGM’s latest piece on the remaining FAs, he mentions the Red Sox as one of the teams still in on Carlos Rodon.
Yankees look to be the obvious favorites there, but the Dodgers and Giants are included as well.

Rodon Seeking Seven Years
In the tweet above, the Boston Red Sox are also mentioned as a possibility for Rodon.
A decision could come soon.
Regardless of where he goes though, he is sure to earn a massive payday and a long-term deal.
Rodon had signed a two-year, $44 million deal with the Giants after a bounce-back campaign in 2021 with the Chicago White Sox.
The left-hander opted out in hopes of receiving a longer-term deal, which he is sure to get now that he is back on the free agent market.
Again, the Yankees appear to be the favorites for the left-hander, but the Giants are very much in play.
It will ultimately depend on who offers Rodon the largest contract, both in terms of years and average annual value.
That is what the left-hander is seeking in his second go-around in free agency.
