Carlos Correa‘s official debut with the Minnesota Twins is going to have to wait a day.
Due to inclement weather headed for Minneapolis on Thursday, the Twins’ home opener against the Seattle Mariners has been postponed and will now take place on Friday.
The New York Yankees also postponed their home opener against the Boston Red Sox due to inclement weather.
The Twins will have Joe Ryan starting the home opener while the Mariners will counter with the newly signed Robbie Ray.
The game will get underway at 3:10 p.m. CT.
The series will be a four-game set that lasts through Monday, April 11.

One More Day
It’s disappointing that we’ll have to wait an extra day to see Correa make his Twins debut.
Fans in Minnesota have been waiting in anticipation to see their new star shortstop in action and now it will have to wait one more day.
But at the very least, it does help the Twins out a little bit.
Instead of having an off day in between the first two games, the series will now play out as a normal four-game series, with a game on each of the four days, so it may work out better for both the Twins and the Mariners to have an extra day to prepare for the start of the season, and to not have to wait a day in between the first two games.
It should not affect either team’s pitching plans.
Regardless, Correa’s Twins debut is coming.
Fans in Minnesota are surely excited to see their new superstar in action for the first time.
Opening Day is right around the corner!
