Carlos Correa hasn’t had the best start to the 2022 season.
Things may be looking up for the Minnesota Twins‘ big offseason acquisition, but right now, they aren’t so rosy for the star shortstop.
He is hitting just .200 with one home run and six RBIs in his first 65 at-bats with his new team.
But Correa is refusing to panic.
The Twins right now sit at the top of the American League Central division with an 11-8 record and have won seven games in a row.
Correa offered a prediction for how things will look for the Twins once he gets going, believing that this is a team that can win a lot of games.
Carlos Correa, on his struggles at the plate turning around:
"The way I see it is, if I'm not performing and the team is still winning, imagine when I start performing. So things are going to be a lot better, right? That's what keeps me going."

How Far Can The Twins Go?
The Twins are off to a good start and are in first place, but once Correa gets going, this should be a tough team to stop.
They still have a ton of major pieces in their lineup such as Byron Buxton, Gary Sanchez, Gio Urshela, Miguel Sano, Max Kepler, and Jorge Polanco to go along with Correa.
This team could prove to be the class of the AL Central if everybody is clicking, especially Correa.
He is the new centerpiece of this team and once he gets going, this could easily be a team that can challenge the Chicago White Sox for supremacy in the AL Central.
The Twins won the division in 2019 and 2020 in addition to a Wild Card berth in 2017.
They haven’t gotten far in each of their playoff appearances, but that gives them something to prove.
Correa is excited to see what this team can do, especially once he’s clicking again.
Correa wants to prove his worth to his new teammates and lead the Twins to a successful season.
