Carlos Correa may no longer be a member of the Houston Astros, having signed a three-year contract with the Minnesota Twins following the lockout.
But his impact on the city of Houston and the Astros is still felt, even after his departure.
Correa is still loved in Houston, no doubt, and even after leaving, he still managed to take home one final award from the city of Houston.
Correa was named the Houston Sports Awards Player of the Year.
On Wednesday night, the Astros took to Twitter to congratulate their former All-Star shortstop on taking home this award and representing Houston well.

Correa Still Loved In Houston
When a player spends a long time with one team, the fans and the organization are going to love him for a long time, even if he departs and joins another team.
That is certainly the case here with Houston and Correa.
Since being drafted in 2012, Correa has given his all to the city and the fans in Houston.
He is somebody who constantly grinded it out and never took a play off.
In fact, he led the Astros to six playoff appearances in a seven-year span, with five consecutive ALCS appearances and three World Series appearances in five years.
He was one of the key factors in their run and was instrumental and taking Houston from being a last-place team to a legitimate postseason contender.
The Astros and their fans should always be grateful for what Correa did for the organization and the city.
He’s certainly missed in Houston, but his impact is still felt, and the city of Houston still clearly admires him for what he can do on the baseball field.
