Carlos Correa is now officially a part of the Minnesota Twins.
The star shortstop departed the Houston Astros late on Friday night last week, bolting for Minnesota and signing a three-year, $105.3 million deal with opt-out clauses after each of the first two years.
Today, the star shortstop officially signed with the Twins.
The deal is now official and on Twitter, the Twins made it known, posting a picture of Correa officially signing the deal and becoming a part of the Twins’ organization.
Correa now has the opportunity to suit up for his new team and help them fulfill their aspirations of becoming a winner.

A New Beginning
This should be very exciting for Twins fans.
While the deal is worth a lot of money, the Twins got him at a good price, so the organization should be happy with it.
But for fans, seeing their marquee free agent signing officially put pen to paper to sign the deal has to be exciting.
Correa has been a part of the Astros organization since being drafted by them in 2012.
Now, he gets a fresh start with a new team.
And Twins fans who are excited about the signing can now focus on hoping their team improves from a disastrous 73-89 season in 2021, which saw them go from back-to-back defending American League Central champs to last place in the division, missing the postseason for the first time since 2018.
Now, Twins fans can look forward to a much better 2022 with their new superstar.
Correa is going to be the centerpiece of the Twins for at least this season, depending on whether or not he exercises his opt-outs.
But for now, Correa improves the Twins’ chances at becoming a contender.
