The St. Louis Cardinals have been riding high ever since they acquired starters Jose Quintana and Jordan Montgomery at the trade deadline.
Both have been godsends so far for St. Louis.
But as we get closer to the final month of the season, the Cardinals look like a team that could do some damage in the postseason.
They just recently took two out of three from the defending champion Atlanta Braves, rallying from late deficits to win the final two games of the series.
They also took two out of three from their division rivals, the Milwaukee Brewers, and swept the New York Yankees.
Brendan Schaeffer of KMOV, a local St. Louis news station, took note of all this on Twitter and questioned whether or not this is a good omen for the postseason.
Cardinals swept the Yankees
They bested the Brewers, 2 of 3
Now they come back to beat the Braves, 2 of 3.
They've handled some good teams lately. Good omen for October?

Cards Look Ready For October
If you ask people in St. Louis, they’ll tell you that that is a very good omen.
The Cardinals have beaten some very good teams of late and have had a red-hot August.
Their August dominance has helped them open up a six-game lead over Milwaukee in the NL Central.
This has a chance to be a special October in St. Louis.
The Cardinals look like a serious threat to win title No. 12, which would be a storybook ending for Yadier Molina, Albert Pujols, and likely Adam Wainwright as well.
All three were around for their title runs in 2006 and 2011.
It would be a perfect way to cap off three legendary careers.
But beyond that, the Cardinals have taken care of some pretty good teams lately, and that could be a good omen as they take another shot at a title.
