He showed up ready to be a leader and just dominate in general on defense.
But then he suffered what was supposed to be a season-ending injury midway through the season.
In typical Watt fashion, he worked his way back and made it clear he wanted to play in the postseason.
A short hype video clip from the Cardinals’ official Twitter account revealed he is ready to go.

Watt is back at practice just in time for Monday’s Wild Card showdown against the Los Angeles Rams.
This is a huge boost for the entire defense not just in terms of talent, but because of his leadership as well.

The Cardinals are now getting whole again at the best possible time.
Trying To Start A New Era
The Cardinals last won a playoff game during the 2015 season with Carson Palmer at quarterback and Bruce Arians as head coach.
Since then it has been a journey to reach this stage again and there was even adversity this year as the team finished 11-6 following a 7-0 start.
Attention #AZCardinals fans. J.J. Watt is officially practicing today.

That is why it is so important to have a player like Watt on the field.
He has been to the postseason before and can be a veteran to keep everyone calm if things get off to a rough start.
That is a quality Kingsbury still needs to prove as a coach, as he has a history of hot starts fizzling out both in college and the NFL.
Watt may not be at 100 percent, but his return can help put extra pressure on Matthew Stafford as he too tries to find some postseason magic for the first time in his career.
