St. Louis Cardinals fans were lucky enough to experience 12 years of one of the greatest players to ever play the game in Albert Pujols.
Though Pujols’ career is now over, it’s still important to remember the lasting legacy he leaves behind and the great moments that took place during his illustrious career.
After a bad first half, Pujols turned it around in the second half and ultimately reached 700 home runs.
On September 23, Pujols made history and forever etched his name in the record books.
Today, the slugger turns 43 years old.

Cardinals fans are lucky to have been able to experience the greatness of Pujols.
Even in his final season, he was still able to produce at a high level and provide fans with some more meaningful memories that they’ll never forget.
The veteran slugger’s swing was one of the finest sights in baseball for 22 years.
Pujols broke into the Major Leagues in 2001 and earned National League Rookie of the Year honors.
He also won the NL MVP Award in 2005, 2008, and 2009.
Fans in St. Louis will never forget when the team was down to their final out before elimination in the ’05 NLCS, and Pujols saved them with his towering home run off of Brad Lidge that gave St. Louis the lead and another chance to win the NL pennant.
Nor will they forget his three home runs in Game 3 of the 2011 World Series.
Pujols had no shortage of memorable moments, and will be remembered for years to come.
