The London Series is one of the new exciting things about Major League Baseball.
It first took place in 2019, when the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees played a brief two-game series at London Stadium.
The St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs were set to play two games in London in 2020 before the COVID-19 pandemic hit and shut the operation down.
Since 2019, we haven’t had a series in London.
But Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post Dispatch has some exciting news for Cards and Cubs fans alike.
The London Series will be back in full force in 2023, and the Cardinals will host their arch rivals in a two-game series taking place on June 24-25 next season.

Cubs, Cards On Track For London Series
This is good news, and not just for the Cardinals and Cubs, but for all of baseball and the entire city of London.
This gives Major League Baseball the chance to finally expand its network a little bit.
COVID put those plans on hold, but the Cards and Cubs rivalry will be put on full display for the entire city of London, as people all across the world will have a chance to experience a little baseball.
It’s always exciting when a sport has a chance to expand its horizons.
Baseball finally gets a chance to do that in London after not being able to do it for the past three years.
If the Yankees and Red Sox playing in London drew a significant amount of interest, then the case should be the same for the Cubs and Cardinals.
This is exciting news for the game of baseball.
2023 is going to be an exciting year, with the London Series being just one of many great things to come.
