Albert Pujols and Miguel Cabrera are two of the best pure hitters the game of baseball has ever seen.
Each have put up Hall of Fame worthy numbers and have won multiple MVPs in addition to being a part of some World Series championship teams.
Cabrera is just one hit shy of the 3,000 mark, with only one hitter in the game of baseball today ahead of him in all-time career hits, that being Pujols.
Both are no doubt great hitters, but one St. Louis Cardinals fan on Twitter made sure to share their opinion and make it clear what the fans in St. Louis think about people debating over Miggy and The Machine.
Miggy Triple Crown season:
.330/.393/.606/.999
Albert Pujols average STL season from 2001-2011:
.328/.421/.617/1.037
Miggy is the 2nd best hitter of this generation, but there's no debating who the best is. https://t.co/4BjqbMeyAQ

El Hombre
The stats don’t lie.
Cabrera is great, but Pujols has had better career numbers.
If you were ranking the top two hitters of this generation, the list would start with Pujols at the top and Cabrera in second, albeit a close second.
Cardinals fans have always been very vocal about defending their players in debates over who is best.
Just ask anybody who covered the long-standing debate over Yadier Molina and Buster Posey.
But this fan is spot on in this claim.
Again, the stats and numbers simply don’t lie.
Pujols was just so consistent in his prime and virtually unstoppable.
The man could hit with authority, and he still can to this day, even at 42.
Pujols and Cabrera are both legends without a doubt and both will be enshrined in the baseball Hall of Fame when it’s all said and done, but Pujols’ number are just that much better than Cabrera’s.
Tigers fans may have something to say about this, however.
Prepare for a debate.
