Rarely do St. Louis Cardinals fans get so frustrated that they boo their own team.
However, as the team continues to reach new lows not seen since the 2007 season, it’s getting harder for fans to be patient.
On Tuesday, the Cardinals opened up a six-game homestand with the Los Angeles Angels being their first test.
Despite the Angels not having Shohei Ohtani in their lineup, the Cardinals fell into an early 4-0 hole and couldn’t climb out of it.
St. Louis lost by a final of 5-1, running their losing skid up to four games and falling 10 games below the .500 mark.
After the game, Katie Woo of The Athletic took note of a rarity, that being the fact that Cardinals fans were showering their team with boos after yet another excruciating loss.
The Cardinals lose to the Angels, 5-1. A chorus of boos rang out at Busch Stadium after the final out.
St. Louis has played 30 games. They have won exactly one-third of them. #STLCards

Despite the talent on the Cardinals roster, the team is constantly failing to shine in key moments.
Steven Matz allowed a four-spot in the first inning, and St. Louis never recovered.
But the Cardinals have found themselves in uncharted territory.
They are now tied with the Colorado Rockies for the worst record in the National League.
So naturally, Cardinals fans who are so used to success have grown frustrated and impatient after an uncharacteristically bad start to the season.
The team continues to reach new lows and is showing no signs of turning things around.
The offense is stagnant, and the pitching continues to be an issue.
Still, the loyal fans of the Cardinals rarely boo their own team, but it has gotten to the point where fans are tired of the struggles and are ready for some change.
