On Monday night, Chicago White Sox star pitcher Lance Lynn delivered a key performance, pitching five brilliant innings and only allowing one run against Canada as Team USA bounced back from their loss on Sunday to Mexico.
The right-hander earned the win after only allowing two hits.
However, fans of a certain team are wishing that Lynn was still on their side.
Some may forget that Lynn began his career with the St. Louis Cardinals.
He was a key piece in their bullpen during the 2011 postseason and helped them secure the title.
Lynn then became a reliable arm in the rotation.
He left the team after the 2017 season.
On Twitter, a Cardinals fan expressed his feelings on the matter, saying he misses Lynn in a Cards uniform.
I miss Lance Lynn on the Cardinals. #STLCards

Lynn won 72 games as a member of the Cardinals in 183 appearances, 161 of which were starts.
He was an All-Star in 2012.
After his time in St. Louis, he joined the Minnesota Twins.
He was traded at the deadline in 2018 to the New York Yankees.
Lynn spent two seasons with the Texas Rangers before the White Sox acquired him.
The 35-year-old could be a free agent at the end of the 2023 season, as the White Sox hold a club option on his contract.
Perhaps with Adam Wainwright retiring, the Cardinals could take a look at a reunion with Lynn in the offseason.
Only Steven Matz is under contract for the 2024 season.
Miles Mikolas, Jack Flaherty, and Jordan Montgomery are all free agents, so it wouldn’t be a bad idea for the Cardinals to at least explore a reunion.
