A lot of things are going right for the St. Louis Cardinals.
After acquiring Jordan Montgomery and Jose Quintana at the trade deadline, their starting pitching has been lights out.
In addition to that, Paul Goldschmidt is putting together an MVP caliber season, defense and baserunning have been second to few, and Albert Pujols is heating up for the final month of his career.
As a result, St. Louis has won seven in a row for the second time this month and hold a five-game lead over the Milwaukee Brewers in the NL Central with a 69-51 record.
One Cardinals fan on Twitter lists all the great things that are happening with the ballclub right now.

In The Cards
That’s a lot to be excited about if you’re a Cardinals fan.
This team has made a huge statement this month, starting it off with a 15-3 record.
While the Brewers open up another series with the red-hot Los Angeles Dodgers, the Cards head to Wrigley Field for a matchup with the struggling Chicago Cubs.
This is a good chance for the Cardinals to keep putting some distance between themselves and Milwaukee and ultimately bury them in the standings.
Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado are red-hot themselves and are carrying this Cardinals team through the final months of the season.
The offense has been much better this season than in previous years and is now a strength of this team, whereas last season, it was their greatest weakness.
The Cardinals now look like a complete team.
Chances are that we’ll see them in October.
This team is a serious threat to win their 12th World Series title, which would give Pujols, Yadier Molina, and possibly Adam Wainwright the perfect sendoff.
