Nolan Arenado has been everything the St. Louis Cardinals could have hoped for when they acquired him from the Colorado Rockies back in 2021.
Arenado has given St. Louis the middle-of-the-order bat they so desperately needed before trading for him.
After a hitting .293 with 30 home runs and 103 RBI in 2022, Arenado is a candidate for the National League MVP Award alongside his Cards teammate in Paul Goldschmidt.
In each of his first 10 seasons, Arenado has won a Gold Glove and has even taken home six consecutive Platinum Gloves.
On Twitter, a Cardinals fan made a bold claim that when it’s all said and done, Arenado will be revered as the best defensive third baseman of all time.
Nolan Arenado will finish his career as the best defensive 3rd baseman of all-time.

Cards Fan Endorses Arenado
While the claim is bold, it’s not foolish.
Arenado is already one of the greatest defensive third basemen this game has ever seen and is arguably the best in baseball right now.
His 10 consecutive Gold Gloves have tied Mike Schmidt for second all-time.
He’s now just six Gold Gloves back of the all-time record for third baseman, which was set by Hall-of-Famer Brooks Robinson (16).
Arenado’s hard-nosed mentality also reminds Cardinals fans of one of their all-time favorites in Scott Rolen.
Both could make highlight-reel plays and played the game with a high level of intensity.
Cardinals fans fell in love with Arenado very quickly after he hit a home run against the Milwaukee Brewers in their 2021 home opener.
Arenado recently opted into the remaining five years of his contract and will remain a Cardinal through 2027.
