You probably don’t need us to tell you that Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina mean a lot to the St. Louis Cardinals organization.
They are franchise icons who played their last season with the franchise, saying goodbye in an emotional way.
They spent many years in the organization, and made the Cardinals competitive for a long time.
Both won two World Series, in 2006 and 2011, and multiple individual awards such as MVP, Silver Sluggers, Gold Gloves, and others.
Most importantly, they won the love and respect of an entire city.
Fans are incredibly grateful for their contributions on and off the field.
One of them wants them to remain in the organization as members of the coaching staff.
“Starting petition for Yadi to be bench coach and Albert to be hitting coach,” Twitter user @hmwhitten331 wrote.

There may not be a better time for them try to lure them into becoming coaches.
Timing And Opportunity
The Cardinals’ coaching staff is currently in shambles: Jeff Albert elected to not return as the hitting coach in 2023; pitching coach Mike Maddux stepped down and bullpen coach Bryan Eversgerd will be reassigned as a special assistant within the organization.
To make matters worse, bench coach Skip Schumaker has accepted the Miami Marlins offer to become their manager.
Molina is currently taking his first steps as a baseball manager with Navegantes del Magallanes in Venezuela.
In MLB, bench coaches are usually next in line to become managers: just as Schumaker.
It could be a nice experience for him.
As for Pujols, it’s hard to think about a man who knows more about hitting than he does.
It’s a matter to see if he has the teaching skills and if he is interested, of course.
The idea is not bad at all, though.
