Today is a huge day for baseball.
This evening, we will learn if any players on the Hall of Fame ballot will be elected to Cooperstown.
Last year, only David Ortiz got the call.
Whether or not a player makes it to the Hall is determined by votes from members of the Baseball Writers Association of America.
One player in particular has been waiting for quite some time.
Scott Rolen played 17 seasons in Major League Baseball with the Philadelphia Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto Blue Jays, and Cincinnati Reds.
On Twitter, a Cardinals analyst posted a highlight from Rolen’s storied career and expressed hope that the slugging third baseman will get the call this evening.

The moment featured in the tweet was Rolen’s go-ahead home run off of Roger Clemens in Game 7 of the 2004 NLCS.
That hit propelled the Cardinals to their first World Series since 1987, where they would meet the Boston Red Sox.
But that was just one moment in a storied career.
Rolen was a fan favorite in St. Louis ever since he was acquired from the Phillies in 2002.
Along with Albert Pujols and Jim Edmonds, Rolen was a part of what fans in St. Louis called the “MV3.”
That trio of sluggers helped bring a title back to St. Louis for the first time since 1982.
Cardinals fans are anxiously awaiting the results of the voting to see whether or not Rolen will finally get the call to be enshrined in Cooperstown.
He was, and still is a fan favorite in St. Louis, and if he is elected to the Hall, the entire city will rejoice.
