September is here, and for the St. Louis Cardinals and their loyal fans, it’s shaping up to be a September to remember.
The Cardinals are obviously right in the thick of the postseason race, leading the Milwaukee Brewers by a commanding 7.5 games in the NL Central.
But beyond that, there’s more to be excited about.
As we all know, Albert Pujols, Yadier Molina, and likely Adam Wainwright will retire at season’s end.
Pujols is now just five homers shy of 700 for his career.
As far as Wainwright and Molina go, they are two starts away from breaking the all-time record for most starts together as a battery.
And while all this is going on, Paul Goldschmidt, the likely favorite to win the NL MVP Award, has a chance at winning the Triple Crown.
This is really shaping up to be the most memorable September in #STLCards history:
– Team rolling towards playoffs
– Pujols chasing 700
– Goldschmidt triple crown chance
– Waino/Yadi break battery record

A September To Remember
This is going to be an exciting month in St. Louis.
The Cardinals continue to inch ever closer to winning their first division title since 2019, and some key players are chasing some history.
It’s pretty much all but confirmed that Molina and Wainwright will ultimately break the record for most starts as a battery.
But Pujols and Goldschmidt are also chasing some history, which gives fans even more reason to want to come down to Busch Stadium.
It would be quite something to see Goldschmidt win the Triple Crown.
He’d be the first National League player to win in since one of the Cards’ own, Joe Medwick, did it back in 1937.
And with this Pujols’ final ride, Cardinals fans are chomping at the bit to get down to the ballpark and see him chase the 700-home run mark.
There’s a lot to be excited about if you’re a Cardinals fan.
