Being the worst team in the NFL comes with its fair share of critics.
For the Chicago Bears, it’s no different, as NFL fans want to troll the team for their 3-14 record this season.
However, the current NFL campaign saw the Jacksonville Jaguars go from a 3-14 record last season to the AFC South champions this season.
Fans don’t think the Bears can turn things around, but NFL teams can accomplish this feat.
Over the past 20 years, at least one team has gone from last to first in their division 18 times.
18 out of the last 20 seasons the NFL has had a team go from worst to first in their division. I’m not saying they will, but history says they definitely can

This gives the Bears a silver lining to look forward to during their cloudy days.
However, the right moves are needed to replicate the Jaguars’ turnaround season.
The Jaguars got themselves a defensive player in the 2022 NFL Draft while getting pieces around second-year quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
With the Bears having the first overall pick and over $100 million to spend, they can rebuild their team.
The Chicago Bears now have the #1 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft and $120 million to spend on free agency, 50 million more than any other team. Do this right and the Bears could go worst to first in one year. #BearDown #chicagobears #NFLDraft2023

However, what helps them the most is the current uncertainty of Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay.
If he leaves the team, the Bears have a shot to own the Packers during their heated matchups.
But they also need to build a defense for Justin Fields if they want to make a turnaround in 2023.
In the 15 games he played this season, the defense blew two first-half leads and several leads in the second half.
Had the Bears defense held, the Bears had plenty of chances to win more games this season.
This means a perfect draft and free agency in 2023 is the only way the Bears pull off what the Jaguars did this season.
