The 2022 season will be the Green Bay Packers‘ first year without star wide receiver Davante Adams.
Adams is one of the key figures of the Packers offense that saw quarterback Aaron Rodgers win consecutive MVP titles.
However, he desired to move on from the team, leaving the four-time MVP quarterback with a challenge in 2022.
But with this challenge comes fresh faces on offense for the veteran quarterback.
While he has some unfamiliar faces, he also has two familiar faces in Randall Cobb and Amari Rodgers.
So with the slate of receivers at his disposal, can Rodgers create the next Davante Adams?
NFL Fans Have Two Opposing Takes On The Rodgers/Adams Situation
The consensus isn’t clear about who made who in Green Bay.
People that followed Adams throughout his career feel he’s the one that made Rodgers the quarterback he is today.
Everyone saying Aaron Rodgers made Davante Adams great has never watched Davante Adams run a route

With the Pro Bowl receiver accounting for nearly a third of Rodgers’ passing numbers in 2020 and 2021, it’s hard to argue against that.
However, Packers fans watching their MVP quarterback through the years will tell you otherwise.
They claim it is Rodgers who made Adams into the great receiver he is today, and that he can do it again with someone else.
Aaron Rodgers made Davante Adams great. He can make another WR great.

The point these people make is how their quarterback won two MVP titles and a Super Bowl before the receiver was a part of the team.
However, as good of an argument both sides can make, they are also both flawed.
It is correct to say that the Green Bay quarterback is a star and has been one before Adams came to the team.
But saying that he made the receiver the player he is today is false.
He was breaking records and showing fans he’s the best when he was playing for Fresno State.
However, saying that the star receiver made his quarterback is also false.
Love him or not, Rodgers has worked with the surrounding team to take them to the Super Bowl.
While it can be debated about the teams he’s faced, he’s clearly proven to be a quarterback that can win games.
Packers still can't beat good teams in tough situations. Been a problem for Mr. Rodgers ever since the Super Bowl.

But can he mold the next great receiver with what he has now in Green Bay?
He Needs To Work With Christian Watson
Rookie wide receiver Christian Watson gives Rodgers a young talent to turn into the next great receiver in Packers history.
However, he needs to work with him on his route running skills and hands, two huge issues with Watson.
I have been banging the drum for Christian Watson for awhile. His combination of speed and size isn't common. I get the concerns. Needs to be more consistent hands wise and improve route running. But man if he unlocks it all, watch out #Browns

But if Rodgers can help him with both, then this player has the potential to be the next Adams.
While he needs work on these things, he at least showed improvement on his route running during the Senior Bowl.
It could be the reason Packers fans are so high on this young talent for 2022.
However, if his MVP quarterback doesn’t work with him during OTAs and the preseason, there might be no hope for the next Adams in Green Bay.
