The time is ticking for Cam Newton to find his next quarterback job in the NFL for 2022.
However, he might be all out of opportunities with NFL teams now.
But that isn’t stopping him from trying to pursue his next NFL team to play with.
With an interview he did earlier in June, he revealed his desire to be a starting quarterback again in the NFL.
While this is something he’s always mentioned, he also revealed something else that was new to some fans.
Newton Mentions How He Put Himself Into A Bad Situation In 2020 And 2021
Something that might not inspire confidence in Newton comes from his own comments about his time in New England and Carolina.

"The New England experience was a f***ed up situation. I was still learning the offense 7-8 weeks into the season."

With him coming out about how he didn’t know the Patriots offense eight weeks into the season, it wouldn’t be something NFL teams want with a quarterback.
How can he be a starting quarterback if he doesn’t know the playbook that deep into the season?
He also said the situation was the same in Carolina, and how he was thrown in as a starter while not knowing the full playbook.
But with these statements by him, he reveals himself as someone that can’t adapt to a new situation.
It also gives NFL teams every reason to look over him when searching for a starting quarterback.
Can He Fix His Image After His Own Comments And Actions Hurt Himself?
If he wants another chance as a starting quarterback in the NFL, he needs to fix his image.
He’s been someone that doesn’t take responsibility for his failures as a quarterback.

However, he is admitting his failures, which can help him in the future.
But just admitting those issues he is having isn’t enough.
He needs to work on improving himself, not just admitting what his problems are.
If he’s having an issue learning offensive playbooks, he needs to work on that now.
Studying the playbook is the first key to him making a chance as a player.
Showing NFL teams that he’s over that admitted problem can help him land that next starting quarterback job.
However, it’s on him to do this, and not the other things he’s currently doing.
Doing Podcast Interviews Isn’t Going To Help
While Colin Kaepernick is out on the field showing his abilities, Newton is off doing interviews for podcasts.
One quarterback is trying to show he’s worthy of a quarterback job, the other is airing out his personal life.
No matter what people feel about either quarterback, at least one is making the case for a return.
The other is merely talking about it and stating they are starting material.
However, if Newton gets serious about him being a starting QB again, he needs to do the things Kaepernick is doing.
Having workouts, along with fixing his personal playbook knowledge issues, will help him return to his former glory.

So how did Brady do it with no offseason during the pandemic in 2020 with Tampa AND win a Super Bowl? It’s all about what the person puts into learning.

How would you know? Since you have never spent a day of your life on any football team! We all know Tom Brady is a cheater and he put a lot into “learning” during the Spy-Gate, and Deflate-Gate Scandals, in order to win Super Bowls.

You’re too harsh at Cam! He’s a great guy and athlete, always giving back, & training athletes for the NFL! Cam doesn’t throw anyone under the bus, as it has happened to him.
What he said are facts on the Pivot!
Cam signed late for both teams, & there was COVID restrictions, he faced. He also had COVID! He never said he didn’t understand the playbook! He said he needed time. It’s a difference. With the Panthers, he signed week 10, & right after he had a new OC who didn’t know what he was doing. Cam did better under Joe Brady, who got fired! The Patriots were learning too with Cam because they never had a Dual Threat QB like Cam! They had to write the playbook to suit his skills! It wasn’t all on Cam, for those 2 seasons!
He did good, considering his situation he was put in! Cam can still play!

I couldn’t agree with you more! Well said.
