The Jacksonville Jaguars got some great news regarding wide receiver Calvin Ridley.
He has been fully reinstated by the NFL after violating their gambling policy last year.
Despite missing all of last season, the Jaguars still traded for Ridley from the Atlanta Falcons.
It was a smart move from Jacksonville, as they got the former all-pro receiver on a discount.
For those wondering where Ridley is mentally after missing a full season, he released a statement on the Players Tribune.
The newest Jaguar took full responsibility for his actions and is looking to put all of it behind him.
Ian Rapoport gave us a little insight into what Ridley said in his statement.
"I f***ed up. I’m not here to sugarcoat anything. In 2021, I made the worst mistake of my life by gambling on football." https://t.co/Raje3hlO2A

Ridley told his whole side of the story in the article.
He mentioned how he had to play injured and painkillers were the one thing that kept him on the field.
Also, he was suffering from depression.
Ridley seems fully locked into returning to the field next season.
He can participate in all of the offseason workouts with the Jaguars and he should be ready to play in Week 1.
From a football side of things, adding Ridley to the Jaguars should help them take another step.
Ridley and Christian Kirk give the Jaguars two number-one caliber wide receivers.
Also, quarterback Trevor Lawrence should take another step forward this season.
Keep an eye on the Jaguars next season as they could challenge the Chiefs and Bengals as one of the top teams in the conference.
