The rumors are starting to swirl with intensity as the 2023 NFL Draft moves closer.
There are so many different possibilities as to what could happen in the first round.
One position that has gained notable interest from draft enthusiasts is the quarterback group.
We could see as many as five quarterbacks picked in the first round, it’s just a matter of when and where.
One player who has noticed his stock decline over the past few weeks is Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud.
He was thought to be considered for the No. 1 overall pick, but recent reports suggest that he could fall out of the top five overall selections.
One team that seems to be interested in Stroud is the Tennessee Titans.
However, the Titans don’t pick until No. 11 overall.
According to NFL Rookie Watch, the Titans will explore trading up to third overall (a spot currently occupied by the Arizona Cardinals) to take Stroud.
If that happens, it would make Stroud the highest-drafted Ohio State quarterback ever.
CJ Stroud is now reportedly the favorite to go third overall tonight at the NFL Draft.
The Tennessee Titans reportedly “love” Stroud and are exploring ways to move up to third overall.

There have been several Ohio State quarterbacks selected in the first round over the years.
With the exception of current Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields, most Buckeye signal-callers have not had much success in the NFL.
Still, that shouldn’t scare teams away from drafting Stroud, as he looks like a potential NFL star.
Landing with the right organization plays a big role in a quarterback’s development.
Whichever team drafts Stroud will need to have a strong offensive system in place with coaches willing to develop him.
Stroud could end up being the top quarterback in this class, and he should be one of the first names off the board on Thursday night.
