The Chicago Bulls pulled off a close win on Wednesday night, defeating the Detroit Pistons, 117-115.
DeMar DeRozan scored 21 points, Coby White produced 14, and Nikola Vucevic had 12.
But no one on the team came close to Zach LaVine, who scored a whopping 41 points and led his squad to the win.

LaVine was 14-of-20 from the floor, which is an incredibly strong showing.
But it’s not the first time he has played like this.
In fact, this was his 18th 40-point game with the Bulls and now puts him second in team history, behind only Michael Jordan.
That is perhaps the most stunning feat of them all and shows fans that LaVine is the real deal and a very special part of the Bulls, even though they are still struggling.
The Bulls are having a very troubled season but LaVine is playing some of the best basketball of his career.
For 2022-23, he is averaging 24.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.9 assists on a 47.7% field goal percentage.
Despite LaVine’s impressive output this year, the Bulls are still in a bad spot: they currently sit in 11th place in the East with a 28-34 record.
At this point, they will need to play near-flawless ball if they wish to return to the playoffs in the spring.
Although they recently experienced a six-game losing streak, they have just won three of their last four.
LaVine has been in double-digits every night but it’s been a long time since he scored as many as 41 points.
Will he be able to keep it up in the future as they attempt to fight into the postseason?
