After weeks and weeks of speculation and rumor, the Chicago Bulls have released an official update on point guard Lonzo Ball.
On Wednesday, the Bulls announced that Ball will miss the rest of the season, including the playoffs, because of a left knee injury.

In their official statement, the team said that Ball still experiences pain with “high-level physical activity” which means he obviously can’t play.
The team said that he will continue daily treatment and will work on his rehab process in preparation for next season.
Moving forward without Ball won’t be easy but the Bulls could still have a remarkable postseason.
Ball Was Balling
It’s a huge shame that Ball is out for the rest of the season.
He was doing some great work on the floor, providing an average of 13 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists a game.
But he was also playing smarter, faster, and more efficiently.
He was a pivotal part of the Bulls’ rotation and their terrific season.
However, the team has faltered a bit over the last few weeks, partly because of the loss of Ball.
The team now sits at the sixth seed in the East with a 45-34 record.
They have clinched a playoff position which means they are going into the postseason for the first time in a while and are still stronger than they have been in years.
This is in large part due to the hard work and MVP-caliber season of the team’s leader, DeMar DeRozan.
DeRozan, along with other stars such as Zach LaVine, Alex Caruso, and others will have to play at the best of their abilities if they want to make it far in the playoffs.
They aren’t ending the season as strongly as they started it and they’ll be missing Ball but the Bulls still have a chance to make their fans proud.
