With “Best Friends Day” coming tomorrow, it’s time we sit back and appreciate one of the greatest best friend duos in all of baseball.
St. Louis Cardinals legends Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina have been at it for a long time.
Molina made his MLB debut in June of 2004, while Wainwright made his debut a year later.
Just one year into their accomplished careers as batterymates, they closed out the 2006 World Series and gave the Cards their first title since 1982.
Fast forward to 2022, and they hold the all-time record for wins as a battery.
To celebrate Best Friends Day, Budweiser tweeted a video of highlights between the two legends, which ended with them tapping glasses and sharing a beer together.

Raise Your Glass, Cardinal Fans
Let’s raise a cold one to arguably the best pitcher-catcher duo in baseball history.
These two have closed out several postseason series, won two rings together, and have been a part of several historic moments during their careers.
It’s been 17 years!
Can you believe that?
Many people who are now adults grew up watching these guys dominate when they were just kids.
And one day, they’ll tell their children and grandchildren how great these two truly were.
It’s only fitting that the video ended with them saying cheers and sharing a laugh, as only they know how.
It’s already been confirmed by Molina himself that 2022 will be his last year, meaning he will go out alongside Albert Pujols.
Wainwright hasn’t announced any plans to retire after the 2022 season, but regardless, this will be the final year that these two legends compete together as a battery.
Even if Wainwright returns in 2023, it won’t be the same without Yadi.
