Khris Middleton of the Milwaukee Bucks didn’t have his greatest season ever in 2022-23.
The three-time All-Star scored 15.1 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game, which are lower numbers than the seasons immediately before that.
Still, there is no doubt that Middleton is an important part of the team.
They posted images of Middleton in the gym on Twitter, with the caption: “The magic is in the work.”
They are definitely hoping for magic in the new season.

Middleton might finally be moving on from several injuries that have slowed him down.
He missed the first 20 games of the season in 2022-23 because of offseason wrist surgery.
Shortly after coming back, he had to sit for 18 more games due to knee soreness.
The Bucks definitely wanted Middleton on the floor a lot but he just wasn’t in shape to play for a whole season.
It looks like that might be different in 2023-24.
To many, Middleton is considered the second-best player on the team right behind Giannis Antetokounmpo.
His relationship with Antetokounmpo is one of the many things that makes the team special.
In July, the Bucks re-signed Middleton to a three-year, $102 million contract.
They are obviously intent on keeping him around into the future and feel that his injury problems are behind him.
There is a lot riding on this new season for the Bucks.
Obviously, they want to win another championship.
But with new speculation about Antetokounmpo leaving the team in the future if they don’t win big soon, even more pressure will be put on the roster.
Middleton won’t just be playing for himself, but for the future of the team as well.
