He has come a long way from the unheralded rookie who was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round.
Now, he is the game’s greatest winner with seven Super Bowl titles and three MVP awards.
His return wasn’t guaranteed when he retired after the 2021 season.
But the competitive fire in him was so intense that he announced his return after 40 days.
Last season, Brady had an MVP-worthy season with 5,316 yards and 43 touchdowns.
However, the Buccaneers won’t risk having him on the field for a non-bearing game.
Thus, NFL insider Dov Kleiman mentioned Brady’s inactivity during the preseason.

There’s merit in allowing Brady to sit out the game against the Miami Dolphins.
First, they don’t want Brady suffering a grave injury that could end his season instantly.
Second, there’s no sense in having him play a non-consequential game.
If he did play, it might be for just one sequence and either Blaine Gabbert or Kyle Trask will take over.
Brady Ready For The Championship Quest
After the preseason, Brady will now focus on the training that matters.
The preseason will be a part of his extended vacation leading into the regular season.
But once the games that matter comes, Brady will be locked in and ready to lead the Buccaneers to victory.
Therefore, the team’s fans should expect another long ride led by the G.O.A.T.
