The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one team trying to sort through a quarterback controversy this offseason.
They do not have a frontrunner for the spot heading into the preseason.
This is why head coach Todd Bowles is going to give both Baker Mayfield and Kyle Trask a chance.
According to Ian Rapoport, Bowles announced that Mayfield will start Week 1 of the preseason while Trask will start Week 2.

Once Tom Brady decided to walk away from football, that left the Bucs in a tough spot at quarterback.
They did not have much of an insurance plan behind Brady.
That is why they signed Mayfield this offseason.
Many on the Bucs hope that Trask, who was a former second-round pick, can win the job.
But, the Bucs are not going to just hand it over to him.
It is safe to assume that whoever performs the best in the preseason games will win the job.
Mayfield has been given a chance to start for a few different teams in his career.
Yet, he is still looking for a long-term home.
The NFC South is looking like one of the weakest divisions for the upcoming season.
It is not out of the realm of possibility that the Bucs can repeat as division champs.
But they will need to get solid quarterback play from either Mayfield or Trask.
It will be intriguing to see how this quarterback battle plays out.
This decision could change the long-term outlook of the franchise.
