Linebacker Devin White has been everything the Tampa Bay Buccaneers hoped for since they drafted him in 2019.
Since then, he has had 359 total tackles, 15 sacks, and four forced fumbles.
He has been an integral part of the team’s success.
In 2020, the former LSU standout had career highs of 140 tackles, nine sacks, and four passes defended.
These numbers made him a part of the Second-Team All-Pro in 2020.
His versatility and quickness make him an asset on both pass and run defense.
But as he prepares for his fourth NFL season, he only has one goal in mind.
I’m so hungry for another one 🤕💍
— DEVIN WHITE (@DevinWhite__40) June 12, 2022
White tweeted, “I’m so hungry for another one,” before ending with a ring emoji.
It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to decipher what he means.
All he wants is to win another Super Bowl.
White and Buccaneers won Super Bowl LV against the Kansas City Chiefs on their home turf, Raymond James Stadium.
Defense was the name of the game for Tampa Bay as they obliterated the Chiefs’ patchwork offensive line.
Patrick Mahomes tried to lead his team, but the Buccaneers defenders were constantly in striking distance.
Meanwhile, White covered the middle of the field and took on tight end Travis Kelce at times.
Revamped Defense Must Get The Job Done
If they are to win another title, the Buccaneers defense should continue playing at a high level.
However, they could have a slightly different look after not renewing the contracts of Ndamukong Suh and Jason Pierre-Paul.
White will continue to wreak havoc at linebacker with Lavonte David and Shaquil Barrett.
Dominating their respective zones will limit the options of opposing offenses.
That way, they get to help Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay offense by maintaining their leads.
