Bryce Harper opened the door for the Philadelphia Phillies‘ offensive explosion in Game 3 of the World Series with a two-run home run in the bottom of the first inning.
That shot put the Phillies ahead 2-0 and was more than enough for left-hander Ranger Suarez, who fired five scoreless innings against the vaunted Houston Astros attack.
Philadelphia won by a final of 7-0 to take a 2-1 series lead.
With Harper’s home run being all the Phillies needed in order to pull away with the win, history was made.
For the fourth time this postseason, Harper has hit a game-winning home run, becoming the first player in postseason history to accomplish this feat.

Bryce Does It Again
One thing is for sure.
Harper was built for the big stage.

In his first ever World Series, he’s still swinging a hot bat and is leading the Phillies on a magical run.
The home run was Harper’s sixth this postseason.
The slugger is hitting .382 with a 1.232 OPS and has driven in 13 runs for the Phillies this postseason..
Now, the Phillies find themselves just two wins away from securing their first World Series title since 2008, thanks in large part to Harper’s heroics.
Harper’s home run in the NL Wild Card Series against the St. Louis Cardinals proved to be the difference in the final game.
The same was the case in Games 1 and 5 of the NLCS.
