There was a cool scene taking place in the Philadelphia Phillies‘ dugout during their game against the San Diego Padres on Thursday afternoon.
Phillies star Bryce Harper traded a baseball hat with a fan near the dugout.

It isn’t clear if Harper saw the fan’s hat first and offered the trade, or if the fan was the one who initiated the interaction, but it was a cool moment nonetheless.
Harper is apparently happy with his white hat, and the fan is surely enjoying the exchange he had with one of the best players in the league; not to mention the hat he got.
Fans Love To Interact With Their Favorite Players
No matter how old they are, these interactions mean a lot to fans: even if it is a short hat trade.
They go to the stadium to support their team and its players, so having a short, quick chat with any of them during a game has to feel good for them.
Harper showed that his spirits are up after being diagnosed with a partially torn ligament in his elbow.
He is allowed to keep playing, but lost several games this week after getting an injection on Sunday.
He won’t be allowed to play his usual right field position for a while, probably around the All-Star break.
Still, Harper understands that players, and him in particular, are the reason why fans go to the ballpark.
He seems much more mature in that regard.
As long as he keeps carrying the Phillies with his gritty, excellent all-around performances, fans will love Harper whether he takes the Phillies to the postseason or not.
They see him trying hard, and that’s usually all it takes to be a star in a passionate city like Philadelphia.
