The Philadelphia Phillies are in the driver’s seat after making a statement with a 7-0 victory in Game 3 of the World Series against the Houston Astros.
Leading the way was none other than Bryce Harper, who opened the scoring with a two-run homer in the bottom of the first.
From then on, the Philadelphia crowd was locked into the game.
Philadelphia scored five more runs on home runs by Alec Bohm, Brandon Marsh, Kyle Schwarber, and Rhys Hoskins to take a 2-1 series lead and put themselves within two victories of a World Series title.
On Twitter, the Phillies posted a video of Harper’s home run, which was his first in World Series play.

Bryce Delivers In World Series
The home run was Harper’s sixth of the postseason.
The Phillies’ designated hitter is hitting .382 with a 1.232 OPS and 13 RBI this postseason.
And his home run in last night’s game proved to be the difference as the Phillies poured on seven runs to take a 2-1 series lead.
Harper certainly proved that he was built for the big stage and the bright lights of the World Series.
In his first World Series game at Citizens Bank Park, Harper delivered and gave a raucous crowd in Philadelphia a reason to go insane.
It was also enough for Ranger Suarez to earn his first World Series win with five scoreless frames against the vaunted Astros attack.
Game 4 will take place tonight at 8:03 p.m. Eastern Time.
Philadelphia will send right-hander Aaron Nola to the mound with a chance to take a commanding 3-1 series lead.
