Denver Broncos wide receiver K.J. Hamler had one reception throughout their Thursday Night Football game against the Indianapolis Colts.
However, he could have been a hero in overtime with a touchdown catch.
Unfortunately, quarterback Russell Wilson did not see him, forcing the ball to Courtland Sutton instead.
Denver’s drive went to waste as Stephon Gilmore deflected the pass, ending the game in Indianapolis’ favor, 12-9.
After the game, Hamler slammed his helmet on the ground in frustration.
He did not hide his thoughts after the game.

NFL Network’s James Palmer tweeted, “#broncos WR K.J. Hamler to me on the final play of the game. ‘I could have walked in.’”
The Broncos had 375 total yards on offense but could not capitalize when it mattered most.
That depressing output has been the recurring theme for the Broncos early in the 2022 season.
They lost their season opener against the Seattle Seahawks despite multiple red zone trips.
The Broncos also scored a combined 27 points in their two wins.
Against Indianapolis, they converted only two out of 15 third-down tries.
They had a higher yards-per-play average than the Colts and had 250 passing yards.
Brewing Controversy Amidst The Broncos
That missed opportunity could worsen the rift between Hamler and Wilson.
Sadly, the All-Pro play-caller is the opposite of what they expected.
In contrast, Good Morning Football host Kyle Brandt pointed out that Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith could have completed that pass to Hamler.
Smith leads the league in completion percentage through Week 4.
Therefore, the Seahawks are getting the better end of that trade.
Meanwhile, the Broncos are in disarray and could have a long season if they don’t do anything about it.
The Broncos can bounce back in Week 6 when they face the division rival Los Angeles Chargers.
